Donald Glover, also known as Childish Gambino, recently made headlines with the announcement of two new albums. The first album will be a finalized version of his surprise release '3.15.20,' originally titled 'Atavista,' which was quietly dropped in March 2020. Glover shared this news during a conversation on his Instagram initiative, Gilga, on April 14. He explained that 'Atavista' will be released along with a vinyl version.
Following the release of 'Atavista,' Glover will unveil the final album under the Childish Gambino moniker. This album will serve as the soundtrack to his upcoming film 'Bando Storm and the New World.' He drew inspiration for this project from iconic soundtracks like Prince's work on 'Batman' in 1989 and 'Batman Forever' in 1995.
'3.15.20' marked Gambino's fourth studio album and was initially released at the onset of the pandemic. Glover reflected on the challenging times during the pandemic, mentioning that the album was put out quickly without proper mastering or mixing due to the uncertainty of the situation.
Aside from his music endeavors, Glover has been active in the entertainment industry, recently starring in 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith' alongside Maya Erskine. During the Gilga conversation, he also disclosed plans for an upcoming anime project with comedian Zack Fox and a cartoon titled 'Country Mouse, City Mouse.'
