'Don't want to talk about it' - Andy Robertson addresses Anfield farewell as Liverpool hint dropped

Andy Robertson has joked that he doesn't want to talk about the impending departures at Anfield this summer ahead of their farewell on Saturday.

The visit of Aston Villa marks the penultimate game of the Premier League season for the Reds and in turn the final home match of the season. It will see Roberto Firmino, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Naby Keita and James Milner say goodbye to the Anfield faithful as the curtain comes down on their respective careers on Merseyside.

All four of the outfielders have played their part in the success under Jurgen Klopp with both the Brazilian and veteran English midfielder arriving in L4 under the Germans predecessor Brendan Rodgers.

Both Keita and Oxlade-Chamberlain have had roles in the pursuit of silverware but both have endured ongoing injury troubles which have hampered their careers with Liverpool.

All of them are out of contract in the summer. Firmino, who has been absent in recent weeks through injury, is in line for a return to the matchday squad ahead of an emotional farewell at Anfield. The 31-year-old has made over 360 appearances for Liverpool and remains one of the most used players under Klopp.

Both during and after their commanding win over Leicester City at the King Power Stadium, Firmino was serenaded by the travelling fans with the players joining in with the infamous 'Si Senor' chant.

"I don't want to talk about it. Look, I think everyone got a taster to what the send off will be for him so it'll be pretty emotional I think." the Scotland captain said speaking to BT Sports.

"I think it'll be quite an emotional day."
