NEW DELHI: Dinesh Karthik, the former Indian cricketer, has emphasised the importance of patience with young talent Yashasvi Jaiswal, rejecting the notion of rushing him into India's ICC Men's Cricket World Cup squad this year. Karthik believes that Jaiswal should instead focus on his inclusion in India's ICC Men's T20 World Cup squad next year.

During the 2020 ICC Men's Under-19 Cricket World Cup, Jaiswal showcased his skills by topping the run charts with 400 runs in six matches, including one century and four fifties. He has continued to impress with notable performances for the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
