'Don't question him' — Manchester United fans have Luke Shaw theory after England goal

England fans have been praising Manchester United's Luke Shaw after his stunning strike brought the Three Lions level against Switzerland.

Shaw was the only United player to be starting in the World Cup warm-up friendly as Gareth Southgate looked over his squad ahead of the winter tournament in Qatar. The England manager will likely have been much happier after Shaw's intervention.

The hosts have looked shaky at the back but they deservedly took the lead at Wembley Stadium when Xherdan Shaqiri's cross from the right found Breel Embolo who headed past Jordan Pickford. However in stoppage time, Shaw pulled England back level.

After Kyle Walker-Peters won the ball high up the pitch, Chelsea loanee Conor Gallagher found an onrushing Shaw who hammered a strike into the back of the net. His goal has led to many fans comparing it to the powerful effort which saw England take the lead in the Euro 2020 final against Italy.

As the teams headed into half time level, here is what United fans have had to say about Shaw's goal.
