BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. — The slowdown in the worldwide Covid pandemic, combined with rising costs for entertainment, food, rent and daily living expenses, has fundamentally changed dating.

The upshot? It’s increased interest in online dating.

A survey by Dating.com found that online dating sites worldwide are attracting 12 million new users annually, with about 70 percent of global singles using web services to find a mate.
