Justice Lalitha Kanneganti of the Telangana High Court on Tuesday passed a direction stating that police should not interfere in the civil dispute pertaining to a prime property admeasuring 28,100 square yards, including the King Kothi palace, in central Hyderabad.
The judge said that police, however, should investigate into the two FIRs issued by Narayanaguda police following a clash between two groups who allegedly attacked one another at King Kothi palace claiming rights over the property. The judge passed the interim direction after hearing a writ petition filed by M/s Niharika Infrastructure Private Limited represented by its director Naveen Kumar Agarwal.
Mr. Agarwal’s counsel contended that the prime property was purchased by Niharika group but henchmen of M/s IRIS Hospitality Private Limited represented by its director Amit Amla trespassed into the property and attacked their security guards deployed at the palace.
Mr. Agarwal lodged a complaint with the police who registered a criminal case. On Tuesday, the accused were arrested and presented before a local court, which remanded them in judicial custody.
Earlier, another FIR was issued by the police based on a complaint lodged by Mr. Amit Amla who charged that the property belonged to his company as it had purchased it. He claimed rights over the property, contending that he had the original sale deed documents of the property.
The judge directed both the parties and the State to file counter affidavits in the matter.
