Almost anywhere a celebrity goes, companies may (metaphorically) roll out the red carpet by giving them special treatment through freebies, lavish gifts, or high-end food. Because these aren’t easily accessible to the average person, one man spilled the tea on a hidden perk allegedly available to celebrities at a coffee shop. Viewers were skeptical.
“I want to expose a secret at the Calabasas Coffee House about what they do for celebrities,” popular TikToker Carl Dawson (@kingcarlx) says while in his car. “This code is only for celebrities. Don’t ask me how I know.”
Next, he embarks on an adventure to the coffee shop for another ‘hidden camera review’ installment, bringing more than 416,000 viewers with him.
What is the ‘secret code’ at Calabasas Coffee House?
When he approaches the counter, he says a specific phrase to the cashier.
“Hello, can I get the third door?” he asks. Immediately, the employee freezes. “How do you know that?” she questions, adding, “Let me go verify that for you,” she says, walking away.
After a while, a man, presumably the manager of Calabasas Coffee House, approaches him. “What are you doing here?” the man asks Dawson, confused, and greets him with a friendly handshake. “Using the code. The ‘third door,’” the content creator clarifies. “Was it supposed to be a secret?”
Needless to say, the manager isn’t happy. “That’s the whole point of the ‘third door,’” he responds, gritting his teeth.
What does the ‘third door’ entail?
“We’re gonna see what they bring,” he says, sitting at an outside table. Shortly later, the same man arrived, holding a plate of avocado toast topped with a boiled egg, banana bread, and an iced Matcha Cloud, still not pleased.
“Today’s menu,” he says, placing the food on the table, then asks in a hushed whisper, “Why did you expose it to everybody? The special people to Calabasas Coffee House get the code.” Dawson’s reply? “I want people to experience it with me.”
Then, he declares before digging in, “This is what the third door got me today.”
What did viewers think?
Dawson’s clip stirred up suspicion in the comments section, with most narrowing their eyes at the manager. However, there was a division on whether this was the real code. Many believed the content creator did not receive the true ‘third door’ treatment.
“No way they got weirded out & had verification over avocado toast, matcha & banana bread. It’s definitely something much deeper,” one viewer remarked.
“That wasn’t the real third door. He changed it soon as he knew that he wasn’t a real celebrity,” another stated.
“He knew something was up; he didn’t give you what they actually serve,” a third agreed.
On the other hand, some interpreted the manager’s mannerisms as confirmation that it was the real code.
“They didn’t look happy that it was you they had to honor the code with. I’ve seen better customer service skills at a McDonald’s. I’ve seen more excitement at a Jack-in-the-Box,” one commenter observed.
“It’s not so secret anymore……The manager seemed annoyed,” a second noted.

Dawson posts content featuring hidden-camera reviews on his page. So, it’s unknown if this is a skit or if he actually cracked a code reserved for high-profile people.
