Domino's Westbury-on Trym could finally open after six year wait

A Domino's takeaway looks set to open in Westbury-on-Trym - six years after the plans were initially given the green light. The opening of the new takeaway has become something of a mystery in the suburb, as in the past it has seemed on the verge of opening, only for plans to seemingly fall apart.

But that mystery could finally be solved, as the pizza chain is now advertising for staff members in Westbury-on-Trym on the recruitment website Indeed.com. A job advert for indoor staff members was posted yesterday (April 12), while another advert for delivery drivers was created 14 days ago.

The opening of the store would bring the long-running saga to an end, but it could also prove to be a point of controversy. In 2016, the pizza chain was granted planning permission to open a restaurant at the foot of Westbury Hill, after an appeal against the chain opening was dismissed by the government's planning inspectorate.
