Domino's caused a stir among pizza fans after sharing a controversial reminder online.
The fast-food giant is known and loved for its wide array of decadent pizzas, with a variety of options to suit all manner of tastes. Though there's one ingredient that, even now, is cause for derision - pineapple.
Pineapple on a pizza is, for some people, a complete no go. For others, it's as integral as the tomato sauce base.

We all know pizza was invented in Naples, but not every variation of the iconic treat stems from Italy. The tangy fruit made its debut as a pizza topping back in 1962, many miles away from its European founder.
Though a ham and pineapple pizza is known as the 'Hawaiian', its creator was actually Greek. At 20-years-old, Sam Panopoulos was living in Canada and decided to try pineapple on his pizza at the restaurant he owned with his brothers. It was named 'The Hawaiian' after the brand of tinned pineapples they used on the new pizza. From there, a legend was born.
Taking to Instagram, Domino's reminded its 1.7 million followers of the controversial topping by sharing a photo of the pizza with a tweet text box over the top which repeatedly states: "Reminder: Pineapple belongs on pizza". The image racked up more than 4,300 likes and divided pizza lovers took to the comments section to share their thoughts.
Aidan joked: "Gonna have to ask you to log out". Mario simply said: "Disagree". Fan Tiffany said: "Agree, love the pineapple and pepperoni and sometimes with it garlic." Isaac quoted Stranger Things series four newbie Argyle and commented: "Try before you deny".
Ashley said: "I like it. I don't mind people who don't like it. The only thing I don't like is when they say "it's disgusting ewww" and they haven't tried it."
Lawrence commented: "Agree, especially with pepperoni, ham and jalapeños!" But Hannah disagreed and said: "No. It. Doesn't." Another Domino's follower said: "No way. Never."
And another joked: "Shots fired!" David added: "Why wouldn't it belong on pizza? I lived in Italy for 4 years, many pizzerias around where I lived offered a Hawaiian pizza. If they do it there then it belongs!"
