A Domino's Pizza branch has apologised after a customer received a dirty pizza cutter in the delivery box along with his food.
The man from Malaysia took to Twitter to share an image of his cheese pizza order with a filthy cutter that had a strand of hair on the handle on top of it, the Daily Star reports.
He joked he appreciated the fast food company delivering his meal so quickly during the bad weather but had not asked for a pizza cutter on the side.
Another amused twitter user said the included tool may have been part of a promotion which allowed the customer to cut the pizza into slices by themselves.
A few more social media users suggested the cutter was a freebie from the multi national pizza restaurant chain while others seemed concerned about the hygiene levels of the food.
One follower asked the obvious question of how such a big item could go unnoticed by staff and end up being closed away in the ready to eat pizza box.
This then prompted a sympathetic response that the worker may have been overworked and forgot about the cutter while trying to keep up with the orders in the kitchen.
Domino's official Twitter account in Malaysia eventually replied to the tweet and issued an apology to the customer while asking them to get in touch with them privately about the matter.
The bizarre incident comes after a recent study revealed pizza fans will spend an eye watering £52,924 on the food over their life time.
A poll of 2,000 adults who regularly consume pizza found they'll purchase it seven times a month on average from a combination of take away places and shop-bought-pizzas.
The results calculated this amounts to around £70 a month or more than £750 a year.
