Liverpool are working to welcome their second summer signing and are pressing ahead to sign Dominik Szoboszlai.
Alexis Mac Allister was the first new face through the doors at Anfield as the Reds look to reinforce their midfield options. The likes of Khephren Thuram, Manu Kone, Ryan Gravenberch and Gabri Veiga have all been shortlisted but currently, their focus is on their respective under-21 European Championships campaigns.
Gravenberch's is already over following Holland's disappointing campaign that saw them dumped out of the group stages. The international window officially opens on July 1.
Today (June 30) has been considered as a deadline day in itself with clubs looking to make moves for players and trigger their release clauses before they expire next month. Here is a round-up of the news surrounding Liverpool target Dominik Szoboszlai.

Liverpool make Dominik Szoboszlai move
Liverpool look set to press ahead with a £60m move for RB Leipzig's Dominik Szoboszlai.
Club officials held talks with the Hungary captain's representatives earlier this week as they held exploratory discussions around a potential deal for the attacking midfielder.
There had been some conjecture over the existence of the 22-year-old's release clause with varied reports about when it was due to run out, but as of July 1 Leizpig will be able to name their own price for one of their most coveted assets.
That may not necessarily have led to Liverpool walking away completely but it would undoubtedly have added an extra layer of complexity to a deal at a time when the recruitment department are continuing to scour the market for available players who can improve a squad that dropped to their lowest finish since 2016 last time out.

Liverpool confident of Dominik Szoboszlai move
Liverpool are pushing ahead with a deal to sign Dominik Szoboszlai, according to David Ornstein of The Athletic.
After the move looked difficult, the dynamic has shifted it has been claimed. In the last 24 hours, there has been a change which has given the Reds confidence a deal can be struck.
When does Dominik Szoboszlai's release clause expire?
Paul Joyce of The Times reported on Friday that RB Leipzig are bracing themselves for a potential surge of late interest in Dominik Szoboszlai.
A release clause would allow the 22-year-old to leave for a set price in the region of £60m but the clause expires today (June 30) meaning interested parties could face paying a higher fee should they wait, the report claims.
Talks between the Reds and the Hungarians camp have taken place but despite their interest Liverpool's position has been that no offer was imminent.
Szoboszlai is ready to leave the German club but the expiration of the release cause makes their position stronger.
Newcastle United stance on Dominik Szoboszlai
Newcastle United were among the first clubs to be linked with a move for the Hungary captain.
Eddie Howe's side are looking to bolster their midfield options after securing Champions League football last season. Sandro Tonali is set to join for a fee in the region of £55m and there was talk that James Maddison or Szoboszlai would follow the AC Milan midfielder.
However, David Ornstein confirmed that the Magpies had pulled out of the race.
In his report he claims: "Newcastle United had previously expressed interest in the 22-year-old but have now left the way clear for Liverpool."
Liverpool in advanced talks to sign Dominik Szoboszlai
Fabrizio Romano has reported that Liverpool and RB Leipzig are in "very advanced" negotiations to sign Dominik Szoboszlai with the move progressing to its final stages.
He says the key points are being clarified on the price between the two clubs and there are no issues on the 22-year-old's side.
Liverpool hold talks over Dominik Szoboszlai
Liverpool held talks earlier this week over a move for RB Leipzig's Dominik Szoboszlai.
The Reds have been aware of the midfielder for a number of years after watching him emerge as a teenager before he travelled the well-worn path from Salzburg to Leizpig at the age of 20.
Salzburg would reportedly be in line to receive as much as 20% of any sell-on fee should Szoboszlai leave Leipzig, which could further complicate matters should there be no release clause.
Liverpool have a strong relationship with Leipzig and the rest of the Red Bull camp, however, and have dealt regularly with the German side in recent years, dating back to Naby Keita's arrival at Anfield in the summer of 2018. Talks between the two clubs initially began in 2017 for the Guinea midfielder.
