Good Morning Britain viewers claimed Dominic Raab was "squirming" as he was grilled on the government's Ukrainian visa policy.
The Deputy Prime Minister was interviewed by Adil Ray and Susanna Reid about the response to the Russian invasion.
Adil quizzed Mr Raab on the changes to the visa rules on when the UK will accept Ukrainians seeking refuge from the war.

Boris Johnson announced "immediate family members" will be able to join Ukrainians settled in the country, but Adil probed for a definition of what this exactly means.
He said: "If you're here and your mother is in Ukraine, can your mother come and join you?"
Adil blasted Mr Raab when he suggested it will "cover dependents" - and the full details will be set out by Home Secretary Priti Patel in the near future.
The 47-year-old broadcaster said: "Dependents are not parents. You've just said we're doing lots, but you don't know what the detail is."
Mr Raab hit back at the claim and said Adil wasn't letting him answer the question.
He added: "We're doing the usual thing we get on GMB where I don't get the chance to answer the question"
Adil clapped back: "Because we get the usual thing from you when you don't answer the question the first time round!"
Mr Raab questioned whether he could proceed, before asserting the UK is "doing our bit" to help.
He said: "So the principles that the Home Secretary has set out are that dependents, and we're talking about up to 100,000, the precise criteria, the processes, she's going to be setting out in the days ahead, so all of those answers will be provided.
"And I get why you're asking the question, I just can't answer every factual case and I can't also speculate on the individual cases but up to 100,000 so the point is, the UK will step up, we have a big hearted tradition in this country and we will do our bit."
Susanna Reid was baffled at the end of the interview as she was still unclear on the definition of "immediate family members".
Viewers following the show on Twitter said Mr Raab was "squirming" during the heated exchange.
Peter said: "Dominic Raab sinking fast on Good Morning Britain #GMB unable to give a straight answer to @adilray @GMB #StandWithUkraine"
Donna added: "Raab squirming"
Rose tweeted: "A straight answer was required from Dominic Raab - Ukranian citizens living in the UK need to know and they certainly don't after #DominicRaabs response."
Jo commented : "Adil Ray interviewing Raab on #GMB on our shockingly bad Ukrainian refugee offer - ‘is your mother not immediate family"
