On Monday morning, the NFL world received big news in the form of the first extension of a quarterback from the 2020 draft class, as the Philadelphia Eagles and Jalen Hurts agreed to a five-year deal.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the deal is expected to pay him $255 million ($179.3 million guaranteed) and a no-trade clause.
The Miami Dolphins also have a quarterback from the 2020 draft class, as Tua Tagovailoa had his fifth-year option picked up earlier in the offseason. This upcoming season could determine whether or not he gets an extension.
After the news broke, Dolphins wideouts Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle both took to social media to share in the excitement.

Hurts and Waddle were teammates at Alabama, so they obviously have a strong connection. An equal or greater reaction could be expected if Tagovailoa were to get an extension in Miami, as they shared the field in college and in the pros.
This is a star-driven league, and stars are always grateful to see their peers get money.
