The Dolphins added to their wide receiver room on Friday, trading for former Bears receiver Chase Claypool. The move, which cost Miami a sixth-round pick while they got a seventh-round pick back as well, is a fresh start for Claypool after he fell out of favor in Chicago.
Claypool was a disappointment with the Bears, so a new opportunity to play with a talented receiving core should help him. In fact, Tyreek Hill posted on social media a simple sentence that explained his positive thoughts on the move, a good sign moving forward.
“Chase Claypool I like it,” Hill said.

Claypool, whom the Bears acquired from the Steelers in the middle of last season, played in 10 games for Chicago and totaled just 191 receiving yards and one touchdown. However, in his previous 39 games for the Steelers, Claypool had two seasons with at least 860 receiving yards and scored nine touchdowns in his rookie season.
By going from Chicago to Miami, Claypool will have a chance to find a role in one of the most explosive offenses in the league, and Hill appears excited to see what he can do.
