On the Miami Dolphins’ first offensive play of their battle with the New York Jets, quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, who was playing starting in place of Tua Tagovailoa, suffered a head and elbow injury that knocked him out of the game.
Buy Dolphins TicketsAfter Skylar Thompson came in for Bridgewater, the team announced that the veteran would not return to the game. CBS’ Melanie Collins reported that Bridgewater passed all concussion tests, but he’s not able to play due to the new protocols put in place after Tagovailoa’s injury against the Buffalo Bills in Week 3.
Thompson will play the remainder of the game, and if he goes down, wide receiver Cedrick Wilson Jr. would likely step up as the next quarterback.
