Dolphins release second-year OT from practice squad

The Miami Dolphins released second-year offensive tackle Anderson Hardy from their practice squad, the team announced Tuesday.

Hardy, a former Appalachian State starter and All-Sun Belt selection, joined the Dolphins’ practice squad at the end of August after he was released by the Pittsburgh Steelers at the end of training camp. Prior to that, Hardy spent his rookie season with the Kansas City Chiefs after signing as an undrafted free agent.

During his time with the Chiefs, Hardy primarily played guard on both sides of the offensive line. The Steelers had Hardy at right tackle during the 2024 preseason. Two seasons into his NFL career, Hardy hasn’t appeared in a regular season game.

The Dolphins have three offensive linemen still on the practice squad: tackles Bayron Matos and Jackson Carman, and guard Chasen Hines.

Miami now has 16 players on its practice squad with room to add a 17th as Matos is exempt from counting against the 16-player limit as a member of the International Player Pathway program.
