The Miami Dolphins went into the weekend with wide receiver Jaylen Waddle already ruled out, right guard Robert Hunt doubtful and seven others questionable for the matchup against the Baltimore Ravens.
Then, late Saturday night, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported that running back Raheem Mostert, who was questionable on Friday’s injury report, was expected to be inactive for the game. On Sunday morning, ESPN’s Adam Schefter confirmed that Mostert won’t take the field due to his knee and ankle injuries.
Mostert has been one of the league’s best running backs this season, as he’s led the NFL with 21 total touchdowns, but head coach Mike McDaniel has proven to be extremely cautious with injuries in his tenure.
Without the former Boilermaker, the Dolphins will have to rely on Jeff Wilson Jr., De’Von Achane and Chris Brooks at running back on Sunday.
Achane may be primed for a huge day, as he’s been dynamic when rushing or catching the ball and making defenders miss with his elite speed.
