Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel has seen both ends of the football weather spectrum during his playing and coaching career.
Once upon a time, the Miami boss was a wide receiver at Yale. Though the Bulldogs and Ivy League don't typically play past mid-November, McDaniel no doubt got a taste of biting New England autumns.
On the other hand, McDaniel is in his second year with the Dolphins, and presumably acclimated to a balmier existence. When Miami beat the Jets 34-13 on Friday, McDaniel spent plenty of time lingering near the MetLife Stadium sideline heater—setting up one of the funniest exchanges of the season.

When New York fans gave McDaniel a hard time while their team was down 27-6, he turned to the crowd and yelled, “I’m cold!” After a beat, he turned again and added, “Also winning!”
The Dolphins have certainly done their fair share of winning this season, jumping out to an 8-3 start.
Whether the playoffs will take them to a warm or cold environment is a different story.
