Dolphins LT Terron Armstead takes responsibility for ‘sloppy game’ vs. Jets

While the Miami Dolphins defeated the New York Jets on Friday at MetLife Stadium, there were some performances that were better than others.

Left tackle Terron Armstead entered the week with a knee injury, but he was active and started in the contest. According to Pro Football Focus, Armstead gave up a hurry and pressure in his 29 pass-blocking snaps, leading to his worst overall grade of the season (59.9).

The 32-year-old also left the contest with a quad injury and didn’t return to action.

This week, Sports Illustrated’s Omar Kelly mentioned on social media that Armstead wasn’t his usual self against the Jets, and the left tackle responded.

Armstead’s being the leader he was brought in to be, as he shoulders the blame for his poor play.

While his status for this upcoming game against the Washington Commanders is certainly in question, it appears that he’s doing everything he can to get back on the field and playing up to his high standards.
