Dolphins could be without their top playmaker Monday vs. Rams

Tyreek Hill is a player who strikes fear in every cornerback who lines up across from him but the Los Angeles Rams may not have to deal with covering the star receiver on Monday night. Hill popped up with a wrist injury on Friday, causing him to miss practice.

On Saturday, Miami Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel told reporters that Hill isn’t certain to play against the Rams, saying he’ll play “if his body lets him.”

“[He’s] managing something that just kind of was heating up,” McDaniel said, via Dolphins Wire. “[We’re] just trying to have it cool down. He’s doing everything possible. He’s a competitor. … If his body lets him, he’ll play. But we’ll see.”

Hill hasn’t put up the eye-popping numbers we’re used to seeing from him, in part because Tua Tagovailoa missed four games with a concussion. He has just 446 yards and a touchdown in eight games, which puts him way behind his pace of 1,799 yards and 13 touchdowns a season ago.

The Rams will prepare as if Hill is going to play but there’s a very realistic possibility the eight-time Pro Bowler won’t be ready to go on Monday.
