The Miami Dolphins used their first selection of the 2023 NFL draft to add to their already impressive cornerback room, as they drafted South Carolina cornerback Cam Smith at No. 51 overall.
Smith joins the duo of Jalen Ramsey and Xavien Howard in a secondary that also includes Jevon Holland, Brandon Jones, DeShon Elliott and Kader Kohou.
Ramsey, the team’s newest veteran cornerback took to social media after the Dolphins made their pick to share his thoughts, and it’s fair to say he’s excited to have the former Gamecock.

Ramsey will have to help Smith adjust to the NFL, and with Howard there as well, the rookie will have some great teachers to learn from.
