Dolly Parton, the iconic country music legend, is set to bring her life story to the Broadway stage with a new musical titled 'Hello, I'm Dolly.' The production, slated for a 2026 debut, will feature a mix of new original songs penned by Parton herself, along with some of her classic hits.

Parton, known for her timeless tunes and captivating storytelling, will collaborate with Maria S. Schlatte on the stage story. Schlatte, an Emmy-winning producer, is best known for her work on Netflix's 'Christmas on the Square.'

The musical's title, 'Hello, I'm Dolly,' pays homage to Parton's debut album released in 1967, which included hits like 'Dumb Blonde' and 'Something Fishy.' Over the years, Parton has amassed a remarkable musical legacy, earning numerous accolades, including 52 Grammy nominations and 11 wins.

With a string of chart-topping hits to her name, such as '9 to 5,' 'Here You Come Again,' and 'Islands in the Stream,' Parton's music has resonated with audiences across genres. Her contribution to country music is unparalleled, with 25 No. 1 Hot Country songs, including classics like 'Jolene' and 'Tennessee Homesick Blues.'

This isn't the first time Parton's music will grace the Broadway stage. Her songbook has previously been featured in productions like '9 to 5' and the 1993 Christmas special 'Candles, Snow & Mistletoe.'

'Hello, I'm Dolly' joins a growing list of musician biographical shows on Broadway, following in the footsteps of artists like Neil Diamond, Alicia Keys, and Michael Jackson. Parton's foray into the world of musical theater is a testament to her enduring influence and creative prowess.

The production of 'Hello, I'm Dolly' will be a collaborative effort, with Parton, Adam Speers for ATG Productions, and Danny Nozell for CTK Enterprises coming together to bring this musical extravaganza to life on the Broadway stage.
