Dolly Parton, the country music legend whose songs traveled far beyond the Tennessee mountains that shaped her, died Tuesday at 80, leaving behind a catalog that also found an unexpected home in cumbia, regional Mexican music and the voices of Latino artists.
Parton's nephew announced her death in an Instagram video, according to People. A cause of death was not immediately disclosed.
