Legendary singer Dolly Parton dedicated Monday evening's Academy of Country Music Awards show to those in Ukraine who have been affected by the war with Russia.
Taking the stage in a mirrored jumpsuit, the 9 to 5 singer, 76, made one of two tributes to Ukraine while opening the annual awards ceremony at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
The show was available to watch on Amazon Prime Video as it was live-streamed for the first time.
She looked magnificent in the eye-catching design which showed off her amazing figure. She wore her blonde hair up with a blingy butterfly clip and finished off the look with a pair of open-toed high-heels.
On stage, Dolly joked she would rather "pass a kidney stone" than get political but wanted to send "love and hope to our brothers and sisters in Ukraine."
"Why don't we just dedicate this entire show to them and pray for peace around this crazy old world," she added.
Her words were met with loud applause.
And she was thanked by Brad Tursi of Old Dominion for the dedication as the band accepted their award for group of the year.
They added how it felt strange to be celebrating while "people are fighting for their lives".
The invasion of Ukraine by Russia has led to 1.7 million people having to flee their homes and it has triggered fears of wider conflict in the West.
The biggest prize of the night, which was the 57th annual edition of the awards ceremony, was the entertainer of the year award.
Drunk singer Miranda Lambert won the accolade and accepted the award virtually from London.
Male artist of the year was awarded to Tennessee Whiskey singer Chris Stapleton, while best female was won by Carley Pearce.
Album of the year was awarded to Morgan Wallen for Dangerous: The Double Album.
The win came a year after being removed from the ACM ballot after he had been caught on camera using a racial slur.
He was also suspended by his label Big Loud Records in February 2021 after further footage was made public of him yelling the slurs outside a house in Nashville.
The singer avoided any direct reference to the incident in his acceptance speech, but did say the album would signify to his son that "daddy was a fighter".
Performing, Kelly Clarkson paid her own special tribute towards Dolly as she performed a stirring version of I Will Always Love You.
