Dollar Weakness Helps Cocoa Prices Recover

September ICE NY cocoa (CCU25) on Friday closed up +147 (+1.98%), and September ICE London cocoa #7 (CAU25) closed down -26 (-0.49%).

Cocoa prices on Friday settled mixed, with London cocoa falling to a 4-week low. Cocoa prices recovered from their worst levels on Friday, with NY cocoa rebounding from a 5-week low, as short-covering emerged when the dollar index (DXY00) tumbled to a 3.5-week low.
