Dollar Strength Undercuts Sugar Prices

March NY world sugar #11 (SBH25) today is down -0.13 (-0.66%), and March London ICE white sugar #5 (SWH25) is down -4.30 (-0.82%).

Sugar prices today are moderately lower, weighed down by a stronger dollar.  Sugar also has some negative carryover from Wednesday when Green Pool Commodity Specialists projected the global sugar market will shift to a surplus of +2.7 MMT in the 2025/26 crop year, compared to a deficit of -3.7 MMT in 2024/25.
