Dollar Strength Sparks Long Liquidation in Cocoa Futures

Sep ICE NY cocoa (CCU23) on Thursday closed -23 (-0.65%), and Sep ICE London cocoa #7 (CAU23) closed +14 (+0.52%).

Cocoa prices Thursday settled mixed. NY cocoa retreated from a 12-year nearest-futures high, and Londons cocoa gave up most of its gains after a rally in the dollar index (DXY00) to a 2-week high sparked long liquidation in cocoa futures.
