Dollar Strength Sparks Long Liquidation in Cocoa Futures

July ICE NY cocoa (CCN23) on Monday closed down -44 (-1.38%), and July ICE London cocoa #7 (CAK23) closed down -21 (-0.85%).

Cocoa prices Monday fell back from 5-week nearest-futures highs and closed moderately lower.  A rebound in the dollar Monday sparked long liquidation in cocoa futures after the dollar index recovered from a 2-1/2 week low and moved higher.
