KOCHI: The Ernakulam additional chief judicial magistrate (economic offences) court on Thursday dismissed a petition filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) seeking the permission to obtain a copy of Swapna Suresh's confidential statement in the dollar smuggling case, which is being investigated by Customs.
The court refused to hand over the copy of the statement, recorded under Section 164 of CrPC, after considering the Customs submission that the investigation in the case is not yet over.
