According to Benzinga Pro data Dollar General (NYSE:DG) posted a 7.49% decrease in earnings from Q4. Sales, however, increased by 1.16% over the previous quarter to $8.75 billion. Despite the increase in sales this quarter, the decrease in earnings may suggest Dollar General is not utilizing their capital as effectively as possible. Dollar General reached earnings of $597.43 million and sales of $8.65 billion in Q4.
