Two former FBI officials have been charged with lying to Congress over the agency’s investigation of Hunter Biden, the Trump administration announced Friday, unveiling its latest high-profile case in the weeks ahead of the midterm elections.
The complaint alleges that Nicole Floris and Bradley Benavides lied to Congress on two occasions in 2023. The pair worked for the FBI’s now-shuttered Foreign Influence Task Force and made initial court appearances Friday in Washington, D.C.
