The Department of Justice has recently made a significant announcement regarding the findings of an investigation into former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo. According to the DOJ, Cuomo was found to have sexually harassed at least 13 women who were working for the state during his tenure, spanning a period of eight years.
In a civil rights settlement reached with current Governor Kathy Hochul, the DOJ determined that Cuomo's actions violated federal Title IX regulations between 2013 and 2021. The investigation revealed that Cuomo had engaged in repeated instances of non-consensual sexual contact with women in his workplace. Furthermore, it was found that high-ranking members of his staff were aware of these incidents and even participated in retaliatory actions against the victims.
