Love Island is well underway this summer and we're all rooting for our favourite perfectly preened couple to last in the Casa D'Amour. Will Gemma and Luca last? Will Dami and Indiyah stand the test of time? It's too early to say.
But it's not just perfectly preened humans who deserve to find love. Our four-legged best friends also have a lot of love to give too and now a dog food company, ProDog Raw, has announced a brand new dog-dating show called Hot Dog Summer is coming to Instagram and even better, you can apply for your dog to take part as a bombshell.
Inspired by our nation’s love for romance, drama, and dates, Hot Dog Summer is will pair pooches with romantic partners and give a group of dogs (and some unannounced bombshells) the best summer ever. The starting cast for this year’s show have been picked. And the show will be hosted by none other than Love Islander Nathan Massey! Oh no, wait... *checks notes*... it will be hosted by Nathan Massey's dog, Nigel.

Four girls (dogs) and 4 boys (also dogs) will em-bark (pun intended) on a journey to find love and Nathan Massey says his dog (Nigel) is looking forward to hosting this show but that: "He does feel a lot of pressure as his mum and dad did win Love Island, so he is struggling with his nerves. He's a big German Shepherd so quite the force, but as long as he can keep his nerves, I think he'll do brilliantly."
The starting cast for the show are as follows: Nala (Golden Retriever), Cara (Miniature Pinscher), Lillie (King Charles Spaniel), and Millie (Cocker Spaniel) are the girls entering the show so far. Meanwhile, Sid (XL American Bulldog), Duke (XL American Bulldog), Ted (Cockapoo), and Baloo (Black Labrador) are the boys looking for love this summer.
ProDog Raw have even matched each dog to the cast member on Love Island they're most like... We're sure the Islanders will be very please about that. For example, dog Cara and Gemma Owen are practically twin fames (says Prodog Raw, not us).
Followers on Instagram can watch the loved up dogs embark on challenges, go on dates, learn new tricks, and generally enjoy a lavish doggy summer. Meanwhile, ProDog Raw will be hosting fun games, exciting voting polls, and more to get you involved. If you would like your pooch to be involved with #HotDogSummer, you can apply to be a hotly-anticipated bombshell! Apply here.
