He has been rehomed at least 11 times since being rescued from animal abusers - and is desperately searching for a family to keep him for the long term.
Mellios, aged nine, is seeking a retirement home where he can relax and "snooze on a sofa" without having to watch his back.
The "very unlucky" dog has spent his entire life on the move - but keeps ending up at Miracle's Mission, a rescue dedicated to saving animals from dangerous situations.
It remains unknown how Mellios lost his back paw - but he now wears a special boot to protect his stump when walking or running around.
Victoria Bryceson, who set up Miracle’s Mission in 2015, said: "Mellios has a heartbreaking story to tell. He was rescued nine years ago in Crete as a puppy having been abused by humans.

"Then six years ago, his owners brought him in to the vets to be euthanised due to his paw injury. The missing paw has healed to a stump and he wears a boot to keep it protected when out on walks."
"Since he was rescued, Mellios has lived with 11 different keepers and has had two failed adoptions through no fault of his own."
The cross breed is currently living in Greece but is ready to travel to the UK when an adopter is found.
"In many cases his adopters or fosters in Greece simply had no time to care for him or did not care for him properly. He has been very unlucky so we would love to find him a happy forever home," said Victoria.
Mellios, who loved his bed and snacks, has shown some guarding issues around food so would need to be kept separate from other animals when fed.
He could live with another dog and has previously lived with a dog-savvy cats. Mellios could live with children over the age of 16.
Victoria added: "He is a low energy dog who loves short walks and is good on lead. He has a flea allergy so it is very important that he is routinely treated for fleas.
"On a few occasions Mellios has bared his teeth when approached by strangers from behind and also when at the vets. He has not bitten, but this is something that any potential foster carer or adopter would need to be aware of and willing to work on with Mellios."
Miracle’s Mission is a UK registered animal welfare charity who work predominantly in the UK, Borneo and Egypt.
A statement reads: “Our mission is to provide a place of safety for animals in danger, to educate on the needs of neutering both pets and strays and to neuter stray dogs and cats to prevent the birth of more animals onto the streets.
"We also rehabilitate and rehome dogs in need, often with disabilities, from our UK rescue base.”
