Dog's claw ripped out at the root by B&M pet product

A dog owner from Swansea is raising awareness of a B&M product that tore out her dogs claw and left her bleeding.

River's owner, Debra Brooks says the pet stairs she purchased from B&M in Parc Tawe, Swansea are 'not fit for purpose'.

Debra says the top step lid collapsed under River while she was climbing them and her claw got snagged and ripped out at the root.

The box clearly states it holds wait up to 30kg and Debra says River is just over 7kg.

River was left with a bleeding paw and it had to be bandaged up whilst she recovers from the nasty incident.

Debra said: "There was nothing faulty with the item, it's just designed poorly, the only outcome we want is for the product to be removed from sales. The staff at Parc Tawe were really lovely and concerned for River, we are currently waiting to hear back from head office."

After lots of cwtches and treats from Debra, River is doing just fine and will be back her normal self soon.

B&M has been approached for comment.
