A couple has been forced to foot an eye-watering £1,300 vet bill after they claim a 99p bone bought from Home Bargains almost killed their corgi.
Owner Pippa Wilson bought three bones from the Coulby Newham branch in Middlesbrough and gave one to two-year-old Albas as a treat that day.
The 26-year-old says her pooch happily chomped his way through the ham-flavoured bone but started vomiting and suffering with bloody diarrhoea the next day.
