A dog owner is facing a massive £20,000 vet bill after his beloved pet fell seriously ill.
Rambo, a two-year-old Weimeraner pup, went into Hypovolemic shock - an emergency condition where severe blood or other fluid loss makes the heart unable to pump enough blood to the body. The pet had to be taken into intensive care.
Now owner Jaxon Feeley, a prison officer, is asking for financial help and has started a fundraising appeal online. He said: "I am writing this to ask for any little bit of help you can provide to help me bring my little angel home.

"Rambo is only 2 years old, she is the most beautiful, gorgeous little soul in the world and loves nothing more than her big brother Rocky, running riot at grandma and granddads and getting all warm and cosy at home whilst licking everyone’s face. She deserves so much more of a life than what is happening to her."
Jaxon, from Wigan, said he was "practically living at the vets" ever since Rambo first showed signs of being ill on January 20. She was ill throughout the night and by the next morning they were in the emergency vets. It was then that Jaxon was told Rambo had gone into Hypovolemic shock - a condition that can cause organs to stop working.
However, her troubles had only just begun as Rambo also contracted gastroenteritis, causing her to deteriorate quickly and become seriously unwell. Throughout the week Rambo began to vomit with fluid going back down and into her lungs. According to Jaxon, fluid also led his beloved pooch to develop severe pneumonia and a collapsed lung.
Jaxon said Rambo’s insurance covered her up to £6,500 but the cost of her care was reaching the £20,000 mark. He then posted an update on his fundraising page on February 4, telling followers "we came home together".
He explained: "So I have been a little terrified of writing this post as the superstitious part of me doesn’t want to jinx this little superstar. As you all know Rambo was in a critical condition 4 days ago as she was unable to get enough oxygen through her body to function.
"She was and still is very poorly bless her little heart. Due to this I made the decision to not leave the vets, sleep in my car whenever I could and make sure that although she couldn’t be with me, she knew I was always there waiting for her. Whatever the outcome I was unwilling to let her go through it alone.
"Over the last 3 days, Rambo has pulled off a miracle, hour by hour she has increased her oxygen efficiency, started eating and drinking, her lungs are slowly recovering and we started to see that beautiful little personality resurface. She got herself into a little routine of seeing me for 10 minutes every 4 hours that she even knew what corner of the waiting room to find me in.
"Yesterday, after doing every test under the sun and assessing her incredible progress over the last few days, the team of staff at the vets have been gobsmacked by the power of love, presence and true fight for life. When they told me she could go home I was nothing short of s******* myself and in all honesty I still am.
"Can I keep her ok? What if I miss something? My little angel is by no means all better, it will be a long road to recovery for her and she still requires 24/7 observation at this point along with a significant amount of medication. However, we did what we said we would, we came home.
"There was no way in hell I was ever going to give up on this gorgeous girl, she is just a little baby, with a want to live and be happy with her big brother Rocky and the Feeleys."
Jaxon went on to thank people for their support and donations. If you wish to help them, visit this page.
