Dog owner left in hysterics at incredible photo driver left as proof of delivery

When you order a parcel to your home, it's common for couriers to snap a quick 'proof of delivery' photo. But it's less usual for drivers to use pictures of your pets to prove delivery.

Yet, this is the hilarious situation one dog owner found himself in last year.

Then 61, Paul Conway was waiting for the arrival of a pair of sunglasses he purchased online. Brilliantly, his labrador, Mazie, made it to the door first - so ended up featuring in the photo.

Paul was then left in stitches when he logged onto Evri's app and found the hilarious photo of the pooch 'accepting' his parcel.

The married dad explained: "I found it quite funny as all you can see is the dog looking up at the package in the courier's hand."

"It looks as though they are delivering it to my dog," he added.

Fortunately, Paul's wife, Jane, was also home - out of the frame - to collect her partner's delivery.

"The courier knocked on the door and my wife opened it to receive the package. But she was behind the door still so they just took a photo of our dog," the dad revealed.

But animal lovers who were delighted by the funny coincidence will be pleased to know the photo is one of a few doggy portraits couriers have collected over the years.

Another hilarious case similar saw a courtier snap a furry photo - this time when delivering a parcel for Amazon, according to a Reddit post.

The adorable photo, which left the social media users in stitches, was accompanied by an update that read: "Delivered to a family member direct".

Talking of his pet, the customer joked: "He is so friendly he might just let a robber in and show him where all the valuables are."
