A dog owner got stuck trying to rescue their pet who had fallen from a cliff edge at Penarth seafront and was dangling from a bush. The dog survived after managing to hang on a third of the way down the cliff face near the town’s pier.
In an attempt to save their beloved pet the owner attempted to climb up the cliff face from the beach below but also got stuck, and could only hang onto a tree while they waited for emergency services. Remarkably, after officers from South Wales Police and a crew from South Wales Fire and Rescue attended the scene, both the dog and the owner were rescued with no injuries.
