As pet owners, many of us are no strangers to going above and beyond to pamper our furry friends and make their lives as comfortable as possible.
But one dog owner has revealed she has a whole bedtime routine set up for her little Dachshund named Penny - which she has to complete every night or else the pooch won't fall asleep.
Posting on the dog's dedicated TikTok account, @pennyshortlegs, the pet owner admitted her adorable dog won't go to bed until she's been properly tucked in.
In the video, Penny's owner responded to audio which said: "What is something that your dog does that you don't even think twice about, but any time anyone else sees it, it's kind of shocking or weird?"

And she wrote on the clip: "She won't go to bed until she's tucked in."
The video showed Penny hopping into her dog bed and looking up at her owner expectantly before she throw a blanket over the adorable sausage dog and tuck her into the blanket ready for bed.
The owner captioned the video: "I suppose not shocking, but very cute."
Penny's video has been viewed on TikTok more than 10.5 million times, and people can't get enough of how cute the little dog is.
One person wrote: "I just want to boop her little nose she's so cute!"
While another said: "Not to be dramatic but I would die for this dog."
And a third posted: "She’s so adorable, I have a dachshund and whenever I sit down she has to sit on my lap. She must sit there or she’s mad."
Other commenters even shared similar stories about their own furry friends.
Someone said: "My dog has to have his bed made for him, he refuses to get in unless it’s all nice and made."
And another commented: "My baby won't eat his breakfast until we scratch his head for a bit and tell him how loved he is and how he deserves to enjoy breakfast."
Penny's owner has also shared another video of herself trying to get the Dachshund out of bed the following morning - but the dog was too cosy to move.
In the video, the woman asked her dog: "Do you want to get out of bed?", but the pooch just stared up at her with big sleepy eyes.
Eventually, the owner agreed to let Penny "stay in bed a little bit longer", and tucked her back into her blanket.
Commenters on the second video were just as enamoured with the adorable pooch, as one said: "Aww! It's tiring work being Penny."
And a second wrote: "She's the same as my dachshund! If I try to wake him up he goes deeper under the covers."
While someone else added: "Her big eyes! She's so adorable."
