Dog owner in stitches at Amazon driver's photo as proof of delivery

A man was left in stitches after an Amazon parcel he had arriving to his house was dropped off - with his dog. The owner was baffled when the order status for his goods changed from 'out to delivery' to 'delivered' while he wasn't home to collect them.

But after looking further into it, he couldn't stop laughing after checking the proof of postage picture - featuring his dog standing proudly beside his online order. According to the Mirror, the delivery driver even added updated the drop-off information to: "Delivered to a family member direct".

After posting the adorable photo to Reddit, one user commented: "I hope you tipped him... in pets."

While another said: "I'd really love to know how they got the dog to sign for the delivery," and a third user added: "I’m imagining the Amazon driver pulling out one of those ink pads and the dog signing the paper with his paw print."

When describing his dog's personality. the owner said: "He is so friendly he might just let a robber in and show him where all the valuables are."

It comes after Paul Conway, 61, bought some sunglasses online but was beaten to the door by his labrador, Mazie, when the courier arrived. The dog was captured in the proof of delivery photo, peeking her head out the door and looking up at the parcel.

The married dad-of-one said: "It looks as though they are delivering it to my dog. I found it quite funny as all you can see is the dog looking up at the package in courier’s hand."

Paul, who lives with his wife Jane, welcomed eight-year-old Mazie in to their home when she was just a tiny puppy. Explaining how she isn't quite skilled enough to unlock the door herself, Paul added: "The courier knocked on the door and my wife opened it to receive the package. But she was behind the door still so they just took a photo of our dog."
