Growing numbers of dog lovers are having tattoos of their pets as a permanent keepsake of their love - some even adding cremation ashes into the ink.
And one Northern Ireland charity is holding a tattoo event in June to raise funds to help them meet the ever increasing demand of rescues and rehoming.
The tattoo sessions are made by email appointment at the Craig Riddle's studio in Derry, where he will be joined by Conor Flanagan, Daithi OM Tattoos, Abi Stewart Tattoo, Mark Logan from Apache Tattoo & Art Studio and Taylor McKinney - Artist/Tattoo Apprentice.

The event takes place on June 11 at the studio of tattoo artist Craig Riddles. He said: "We would love to raise as much money as possible for Friends of Rescue to help towards all the amazing work they do and their ever growing vet bill. We will be doing small tattoos only on the day so we can get as many people booked in as possible.
"We will be taking bookings only for all appointments and times will be available from 10.30am to 3pm. Individual time slots will be allocated on receipt of a non refundable £20 deposit. No walk ins are available on this occasion. If you do still wish to make a donation but don’t wish to be tattooed on the day please email the below address and a PayPal link will be provided for you to do this.
"All tattoos cost a total of £40 including the £20 deposit and we have 12 fixed- size outline tattoo options available and no changes or modifications can be made to ensure as many people can be tattooed on the day. You must be 18 years old to be tattooed and we will not tattoo anyone's neck, face or hands."
