Dog lover Brian O'Driscoll collected wrong pet from the groomers and brought her home to wife Amy

Irish actress Amy Huberman has exposed a flaw in her husband's attention to detail, after the Ireland rugby ace arrived home from the groomers with the wrong dog this week.

Ireland legend Brian O'Driscoll headed off to the furdresser to pick up the family's little rescue dog Phoebe, who had been booked in for a trim on Wednesday, only to collect someone else's pet and drive her home instead.

The couple who live in Rathmines, Dublin, spotted the mistake after Brian brought the stranger's dog into their house and Amy noticed the new look was more than just a smart haircut - and he promptly drove back to the grooming parlour to explain the situation.

Mum-of-three, Amy said she thanked the groomers for being “so understanding”, adding that she hoped the dog enjoyed her 48 seconds in their house before they returned her to her real home.

Amy took to Instagram and said: “I think I’ll collect the kids from school this week. Also, I’m not sure I’ll ask him to give me a lift home from the hairdressers next time in case he heads off with someone else’s wife. He may defo need a top-up on the laser eye surgery.”

Amy and Brian have three children together, nine-year-old Sadie, Billy, seven, and Ted, one and their rescue dog Phoebe who Amy describes as her “hairiest child”.
