A dog has left her owner in stitches after she ran off during a walk to go and find a stick, but came back with a sex toy in her mouth instead - and refused to let go of it.
Manuel Barcia, 50, was walking his 15-month-old Golden Retriever Ahsoka in Horsforth, Leeds, on Thursday when the pup wandered off on her own to find a big stick that she could show off to her owner.
But when the pooch returned, Manuel was gobsmacked to see that instead of a stick, Ahsoka had her teeth around a large penis-shaped vibrator.
Manuel, a university professor from Leeds, West Yorkshire, said: "She's always carrying a stick, or something similar. Being a retriever she always brings sticks back, or rocks.
"She went off and found it in the long grass. When she came back, I couldn't believe it. I was laughing for a solid five minutes before I pulled myself together to go and get it off her somehow."
Not wanting to touch the object, the man had to come up with a creative way to get his dog to leave her new toy behind - and resorted to breaking out the dog treats.
But Manuel said Ahsoka wasn't happy about letting the sex toy go.
He added: "I thought I would have to take it out her mouth, which I wasn't very keen on. I got the treats out and convinced her to put it down so I didn't have to pick it up. Then I hooked her on her lead and we quickly left.
"I guess it's still there in the grass somewhere. She wasn't too happy I made her leave it behind. She didn't want to let it go.
"I don't take myself too seriously, I just found it hilarious. I think I put my back out laughing."
Elsewhere in strange dog news, one poor pooch recently superglued his own mouth shut by accident after rifling through his owner's rubbish bin while searching for snacks.
The cocker spaniel puppy, named Bleu, just couldn't help himself after watching owner Cali Coulson throw all sorts of 'treats' into the trash. However, he learned a valuable lesson to stay away from the rubbish bin after chewing through a tube of superglue and landing himself at the vets.
