Loreen solidified herself as one of the contest's greatest successes after her showstopping performance in Azerbaijan. Taking to the stage with Euphoria, she shaped the landscape for what a Eurovision song should be in terms of visuals and production.
In order to represent Sweden, artists must compete in Melodifestivalen, the country's national selection process. Her first attempt in 2011 saw her fail to qualify for the final but a later year she returned with a vengeance.
