The Boston Celtics had interest in now-Houston Rockets wing Reggie Bullock when the 32-year-old sharpshooter was a free agent this offseason, but Bullock elected to take his talents to the state of Texas instead.
But now word from HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto has the North Carolina alum as “a name to watch” for the Rockets to potentially trade. While it seems unlikely that Boston would have a player on their roster Houston would want to trade for directly, as the Rockets look to improve their roster with bigger names should they come available, draft assets from the Celtics might be of interest.
But the Celtics would likely have competition for his services, with Bullock putting up 7.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game while shooting 38.0% from deep, with the Milwaukee Bucks, Miami Heat, Los Angeles Clippers, and New Orleans Pelicans all having shown interest in the past per Scotto.

The Celtics have the draft capital to compete with such peers, but it remains unclear whether Boston would still want to pursue Bullock based on the players they have since signed.
