Welcome to The Show, James Outman!
With the Los Angeles Dodgers visiting the Colorado Rockies on Sunday, the NL West leaders were looking to bounce back from a loss the day before. With one man on and no outs, Outman strode out to the plate for his first ever appearance in a MLB game after being called up from the minors over the weekend.
And on just his third pitch faced at the MLB level, Outman smashed a home run deep to right field to put the Dodgers up 2-0. On his first at-bat of the majors, no less! Not only that, Outman’s family was in attendance for the game and they went absolutely wild!

Talk about a special moment to remember for Outman and his family. Not many MLB players hit a home run in their first at-bats — according to Baseball Almanac, 130 players are now part of that club — so what an incredible achievement for Outman!
