Manchester United fans have poked fun at Joao Felix on social media after the Portuguese ace was sent off for Chelsea on his debut for the club on Thursday night.
Felix signed for the London outfit on loan for the rest of the season on Wednesday, with Chelsea paying €11million to secure his services until the end of the campaign. The 23-year-old, who also signed a one-year extension to his Atletico contract until June 2027, has scored just 34 goals in 131 appearances in all competitions for the La Liga club.
Both United and Arsenal were linked with a move for the Portuguese forward, but the Reds were unwilling to pay the asking price to sign the player on loan. Chelsea are paying his wages in full until the end of the season as part of the deal.

Felix - who became the fifth-most expensive player in history when Atletico paid Benfica £113m for him in 2019 - made his debut for Graham Potter's side against Fulham, but it didn't quite go to plan. The attacker impressed in the first half, but was sent off for a dangerous tackle on Tete in the 58th minute. He became the first player to be sent off for the London club on his debut.
Chelsea lost the Premier League clash 2-1, and United fans were quick to express their delight that the Reds had not signed Felix on loan from Atletico for the remainder of the season.
