Scottish actor Ncuti Gatwa has been revealed as the next Doctor Who star, the BBC has announced. The 29-year old actor will be replacing Jodie Whittaker later this year, after she announced that she would be leaving the role last summer.
Ncuti will also be the first ever non-white actor to play the lead role. Jodie, who has portrayed the Time Lord since 2017, was the first female actor to step into the role.
