Doctor found guilty of trying to kill wife on scenic hike in Hawaii

A Hawaii anesthesiologist has been convicted of the lesser offense of attempted manslaughter for allegedly trying to kill his wife on a cliffside hike last year.

Gerhardt Konig, 47, was found guilty after a Honolulu jury deliberated for a day. The charge, tied to extreme mental or emotional disturbance, carries a maximum sentence of 20 years.
